This easy cocktail is a fun twist on a traditional sangria recipe.  If you are looking for more fun twists on cocktails, try this Margarita Moscow Mule, this Cranberry Beergarita, or this Strawberry Daiquiri Sangria.

While we love a traditional sangria recipe as much as the next person, it’s great to do fun twists on classics!  This recipe combines two of our favorites, margaritas and sangria!

HOW DO I MAKE SANGRIA?

Traditionally sangria is made with a few simple ingredients:

  • wine
  • rum or brandy
  • sliced fruit
  • sugar or simple syrup

We like to make our sangrias in a less traditional way.  We opt to combine different liquors with the wine, and mix things up with other flavors like different juices and fruits.

Only a few sangria ingredients are needed for this amazing cocktail!

In this recipe we took the makings of a margarita: tequila, triple sec, and lime juice.  Then we added in some pineapple juice and tropical fruit to make a truly special and amazing sangria!  Rim your glasses with some sugar and garnish with a pineapple chunk and a cherry to make for a perfect drink!

If you are looking for a slightly sweeter drink, you could add in more simple syrup or make this with moscato!

This Tropical Margarita Sangria recipe is easy and made with white wine and tequila!

Can this be made without Alcohol?

    • Nathan Longley says

Probably, would taste different but you could replace the sparkling white wine with sparkling grape juice(or whatever flavor of sparkling juice you like ex. apple, white grape, etc). Then just leave out the triple sec and tequila. I would probably also leave out the lime juice. Good luck!
