Vodka Sour
A Vodka Sour is a classic sour cocktail that contains vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice, and a dash of bitters. A frothy egg white is the "icing on the cake" and adds a sophisticated flare for a happy hour right at home!
Servings: 1 drink
Ingredients
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters optional
- 1 egg white optional
Instructions
- Add the vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters into an ice filled shaker.
- Shake vigorously.
- Strain into an ice filled glass.
- Optionally pour the egg white into the shaker.
- Shake very vigorously.
- Strain egg white onto top of drink.
- Garnish and enjoy.
Notes
You do not need to add the bitters or the egg white, but it is the traditional way.
