How to Make a Breakfast Shot

This shake-and-shoot Irish Breakfast Shot with Jameson could not be easier to make. Follow these simple steps and see the printable recipe card at the bottom of the page for ingredient measurements.

  • Combine the Irish whiskey, butterscotch schnapps, and orange juice in a shaker.
  • Shake well.
  • Pour into a shot glass.
  • Take the shot and bite the bacon!

How to Serve Irish Breakfast Shots

Breakfast shots are served in shot glasses and taste best when enjoyed right after mixing. You can either combine the whiskey, schnapps, and orange juice together and take them as a single shot, or combine the whiskey and schnapps together in the shot glass and chase it with a small glass of orange juice.

Serve with a strip of bacon or candied bacon on top and take a bite after drinking the shot. You could also create this into a cocktail by serving it in a glass over ice and increasing the orange juice.
