  • White rum: Also the featured spirit in the mojito, use a white or light rum.
  • Lime juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice adds a great flavor to this sangria that is also a key ingredient in a mojito. Grab a few extra so you have lime slices for garnish.
  • Mint leaves: Add their signature flavor when muddled with the other ingredients and make a great garnish.
  • Simple Syrup: Adds just enough sweetness, you can leave the simple syrup and let each guest add more to sweeten their glass.
  • Sparkling white wine: Adds bubbles and a touch of sweetness. Make sure it’s chilled to keep the sangria cold. You can stretch this recipe by additionally adding club soda.

How to Make Mojito Sangria

Here is a brief overview of how this white sangria recipe comes together. For the full recipe including all measurements, see the recipe card a the bottom of the post.

  1. Muddle mint leaves into the simple syrup. Be careful of muddling the mint too much… just a little bit releases the glorious oils of the mint leaves. No muddler? The end of a wooden spoon does the trick nicely.
  2. Add the other ingredients. Mix in the lime juice, white rum, and sparkling white wine.
  3. Enjoy or refrigerate. This is a perfect recipe to make ahead of time. The longer it sits, the more the flavors get to know each other. Serve over ice in a highball glass and garnish with lime wedges.
