Take your brunch to the next level with this apple cider mimosa. Made with just two ingredients, this is the perfect easy fall cocktail.

While mimosas are often considered a brunch cocktail, this fall variation on the traditional Mimosa recipe will keep you cozy morning, noon, and night. Switching out the citrus of orange juice for the seasonal flavors of fall is the perfect twist.

Apple Cider Mimosa Ingredients

This fall mimosa recipe could not be easier to make or to remember. Only two ingredients are required for this delicious mimosa spin!

  • Apple cider: Made with pressed apples, apple cider doesn’t contain extra sweeteners and additives like apple juice does. It brings the perfect amount of apple to this mimosa recipe.
  • Champagne: Or another sparkling wine, like Prosecco. No need to splurge on an expensive bottle, but I do recommend using a dryer variety which will pair well with the cider. Chill your champagne prior to making this apple cider mimosa.

How to Make Apple Cider Mimosas

Here is how easy it is to make an apple cider mimosa. For the full recipe including all measurements, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post.

  • Prepare your glass. You can see my recommendation for champagne flutes and how to rim your glasses with caramel and cinnamon below. This can be done ahead of time!
  • Add the apple cider. Fill your glass half full with chilled apple cider.
  • Top with champagne. Be sure to open your bottle of champagne just prior to making the mimosas so the bubbles are fresh.

Serving

Since there is no ice involved in this recipe, it is important to use chilled ingredients for a refreshing cocktail. Serve your apple cider mimosas in champagne glasses, either plain or garnished with apple slices and caramel and cinnamon on the rim.

To rim your glass, have one shallow plate with a thin layer of caramel sauce and one shallow plate with a thin layer of cinnamon. Before adding the mimosa ingredients, roll the rim of the glass in the caramel and then in the cinnamon. This can be done ahead of time to save time. Then proceed with the cocktail recipe as written.

Non-alcoholic mimosas

To make this mimosa non alcoholic and kid-friendly, swap the champagne for sparkling grape juice or club soda. To have both options, let your guests add their own champagne or club soda.

Making Mimosas For a Crowd

If you are making these apple cider mimosas for a group or crowd, increase the amount of each ingredient and combine them in a pitcher. Since this recipe uses equal amounts of apple cider and champagne, you can make as many drinks as needed as long as you have equal quantities of both ingredients.

Here is what you need to make a pitcher of mimosas for eight people:

  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 750 ml bottle of champagne

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces apple cider
  • 3 ounces champagne ex Prosecco
  • apple slices optional
  • caramel sauce optional
  • cinnamon optional

Instructions

  • Optional, pour some caramel sauce on a plate and some cinnamon on a different plate. Dip the rim of the champagne glass into the caramel sauce, then dip it into the cinnamon.
  • Pour the apple cider into the champagne glass.
  • Top with the chilled champagne.
  • Garnish if desired.
  • Drink and enjoy!
