Meet the Frozen Mudslide, aka a boozy and creamy adult milkshake. Indulge in this delicious ice cream coffee cocktail that is dessert in a glass. Vanilla ice cream, Kahlua, Irish Cream, and vodka are blended together for a sweet treat that is very easy to make at home.

The Mudslide is a common menu item at chain restaurants, but we prefer to make and enjoy them at home. A Frozen Mudslide is perfect for after dinner or anytime you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Frozen Mudslide Recipe

To make one Frozen Mudslide, grab your blender and add an ounce of vodka (quality doesn’t matter as much for this recipe because of how rich the other ingredients are), an ounce of coffee liqueur like Kahlua, an ounce of Irish Cream such as Baileys, and about two cups of vanilla ice cream. If you like a more chocolatey mudslide, try chocolate ice cream.

How to Make a Frozen Mudslide

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Drizzle chilled wine glass with chocolate syrup
  4. Add blended ingredients to wine glass and enjoy!

How to Serve

Serve your Frozen Mudslide in a chilled wine glass. We like to drizzle the wine glass with chocolate syrup prior to adding the blended mixture to add a little extra sweetness and eye appeal. Serve immediately while frozen.

Traditional Frozen Mudslide

A traditional Frozen Mudslide uses 1 ounce of heavy cream and ice. Everything is blended together for a frothy frozen drink. In this recipe, we replace those two ingredients with ice cream for a delicious and decadent cocktail recipe that is a dessert in a glass.
