Cinnamon Sangria Ingredients
Most sangrias have fruit and some type of alcohol, traditionally a brandy, and then fruit that is soaked. This is a different spin on sangria and doesn’t have fruit in it.
- Brandy: The alcoholic base for the sangria, adds depth and warmth to the drink. In this recipe, the brandy is infused with cinnamon sticks, which adds a rich cinnamon flavor to the sangria.
- Cinnamon sticks: Provides a warm and earthy cinnamon flavor with hints of sweetness and spice by infusing into the brandy.
- Red wine: Balances the sweetness of the other ingredients and creates a well-rounded and satisfying sangria.

Best Red Wine For Sangria
These types of sangrias don’t require an expensive or fancy wine. You can use a less expensive red blend, or you can go with something like a Pinot Noir or a Cabernet.
Serving and Storing Sangria
Serve your sangria at room temperature in wine glasses, like the stemless wine glasses you see pictured here. Orange slices make the perfect garnish.
Store the sangria in an airtight container and serve within a day of making for best results. The simple syrup and infused brandy can both be made ahead of time, making this an easy recipe to throw together just before guests arrive.
