One of the most popular shot requests at bars, the Vegas bomb is easy to make at home. Three different liquors combined with Red Bull create a shot that is flavorful and loaded with a boozy and caffeinated kick that is sure to keep the party going.

The name of this popular bomb shot comes from the combination of booze and energy in reference to the all-night party scene in Las Vegas. Best of all the Vegas Bomb shot recipe couldn’t be easier to make at home!

What is a Vegas Bomb

A vegas bomb, or vegas bomb shot, is created by dropping a shot glass of liquor into a glass of red bull and drinking quickly. While different bartenders make different variations of the shot, we like this classic version best.

Vegas Bomb Recipe

As for what’s actually in a Vegas Bomb, the ingredients are quite simple. Vegas Bomb ingredients include:

  • Canadian Whiskey. We prefer Crown Royal, which is the most common whiskey in a Vegas Bomb.
  • Peach Schnapps. A peach-flavored liqueur that adds a sweet fruit compliment to the mix.
  • Malibu Rum or another coconut rum.
  • Red Bull. You could use a different energy drink, but keep in mind that the flavor of the bomb shot will change. Having chilled red bull will make the drink more enjoyable.

  1. Fill a shot glass with the whiskey, schnapps, and rum.
  2. Pour the Red Bull into a glass filling it halfway.
  3. Carefully drop the shot into the Red Bull glass.
  4. Down the drink and enjoy!

How to Serve a Vegas Bomb

While no garnish or chaser is needed for a vegas bomb shot, it’s important to drink it quickly to allow the liquor to mix with the Red Bull.
