Canadian whisky is typically either a blended multi-grain or rye whiskey that has been aged for at least three years in Canada. Crown Royal is a popular blended Canadian whiskey used in the Washington Apple drink and shot. Crown Royal also makes an apple whiskey that would add an extra apple kick to the cocktail.

- Pour the whiskey, sour apple liqueur, and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake well for about 20 seconds.
- Strain into shot glasses.
- Top with lemon-lime soda if desired and enjoy!
Making a Washington Apple Drink
The Washington apple drink recipe is just as simple as the shot recipe, just simply increase the ingredients and serve in a different glass. Shake well in a cocktail shaker as directed, and strain them into a chilled martini glass or into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with an apple slice if desired. This is my favorite way to enjoy this great drink!

- 1 ounce sour apple liqueur
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
- splash lemon lime soda optional
Instructions
- Pour the whiskey, sour apple liqueur and cranberry juice into an ice filled shaker.
- Shake well.
- Strain into shot glasses.
- If desired splash some soda on top.
