What’s in a Salted Nut Roll Shot

Four delicious ingredients blend together in this nutty and creamy shot recipe. You will want to keep these ingredients on hand for lots of tasty drink recipes!

  • Frangelico: A delicious hazelnut liqueur. The Chocolate Cake Shot recipe is another way to enjoy a delightful Frangelico cocktail.
  • Peanut butter whiskey: There are a few peanut butter whiskey brands on the market, but Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey is among the most popular. You will love the delicious bite this adds to this shot.
  • RumChata: A creamy, cinnamon rum liqueur that is creamy and so delicious.
  • Heavy cream: Just like the salted nut roll candy bar, we need a creamy inside to complement the other flavors in this recipe.
  • Kosher salt: For an extra salty boost to garnish the rim of this sweet and salty shot.
  • Crushed peanuts: Optional, for garnish with the salt on the rim of your shot glass.

How to Prepare Shot Glasses

Garnishing your shot glasses is simple and the extra flavor and fun is so worth it! You can prepare your glasses before your party so that they are ready to go or wait to prepare them until you are mixing up the shots.

  • Mix kosher salt and chopped peanuts on a plate or shallow bowl.
  • Dip the rim of your shot glasses in water or corn syrup so your garnish has something to stick to.
  • Dip the rims of the glasses into the salt and peanuts mixture.
  • Set shot glasses aside for when your shots are ready to be poured.

How to Serve

Since this shot has cream in it, make sure to keep your ingredients chilled until you make your salted nut roll shots. Similarly, you will want to serve your shots right after mixing so that they are chilled and fresh.
